Email FAQ’s

Q: How do Student access their Emails?
Ans: Kilgore College uses Gmail as the backbone for our student email system.

  • Go to https://www.gmail.com/ and logging in with
  • Login with full email address and default password (Kilgore College username followed by @go.kilgore.edu)

Q: How does the user add recovery information to my student email?
Ans: Once you have successfully logged into your student email… follow the steps below:

  • Click on the letter in the upper right-hand corner associated with your first name.
  • Click on Manage Your Google Account
  • Click on the Security menu option in the left pane

Once you have done this you will see the security options for your student email account.

Q: I forgot my password to {EMAIL}. What should I do?
Ans: Students will need to contact IT if they forgot their password for email

Q: How to change the password for Email
Ans: : Students will change email passowrd by
clicking on the icon at top right (circle with picture or initial), Manage Google Account.

Q: How long will my {EMAIL} account be active after graduation?
Ans: 365 Days

Q: What is the file size limit for sending attachments?
Ans: 30MB

Q: Is there an enterprise level spam filter?
Ans: Yes

Q: I don’t know my username for {EMAIL}. What should I do?
Ans: We do not provide Student ID Number, If the user is not sure about their ID number, suggest the user contact the Admissions office AT 903-983-8607

Q: What is the email quota?
Ans: None
