User Cannot see Course in Blackboard- FAQ’s

Q: Do all on-campus courses have a shell? Would a course taught on campus need to request a shell for online supplemental material or grades?
Ans: Yes, all academic, on-campus courses have a shell

Q: When will users be able to access their course within the LMS?
Ans: Students – Generally, the first day of the term (early morning). Some instructors request that their course open sooner.
Faculty/Staff – Within 3-6 weeks before the start of the term.

Q: How is course availability controlled? By the instructor or a term start and end date?
Ans: Term start / end date

Q: How long after the semester/course ends will a student have access to the course material?
Ans: Courses closes the day after the last day of the semester

Q: If they want access to a previous course, should they be referred to the instructor?
Ans: Yes, they should contact and instructor if access to previous courses is requested.

Q: Do instructors have access to copy courses? If not, what is the process?
